The number of foreigners visiting Turkey increased 58.3 percent year-on-year to 6.30 million in August 2022, with arrivals increasing mostly from Germany (up 40.5 percent), the UK (up 2453.2 percent), Bulgaria (up 78.5 percent), and Iran (up 108.4 percent). Meanwhile, arrivals from Russia declined 11.0 percent. Considering the first eight months of the year, tourist arrivals jumped 108.5 percent to 29.33 million.
